SAN MARINO NO MATCH FOR ENGLAND

Football newcomers San Marino were shown what Football really entails yesterday in the Euro qualifiers when
England trashed them 5-0. The three lions were always favorites for
the clash at wembley and they lived up to that expectation. They had many shots but the breakthrough came when PhilJagielka nodded in a superb Corner. The English team also won a penalty thanks to wayne rooney who also did well to convert the penalty. Third goal came from starboy Danny Welbeck who struck a nice shot from close range. San Marino guys thopught it was over but the three lions struck once again this time via andros townsend. who made it 4-0. late in the second half with just about thirteen minutes togo Wayne Rooney struck a Shot which was diverted by San Marino defender Della Vale into his own net.

There is something the English squad is trying to prove. They were highly embarrassed after their poor performance at the world cup, so they are tryin toput out a message to the world that they are not a small team and they are ready to go for gold.
Reports have it that English Manager Roy Hodgson said they would have scored more goals. "I think could we have scored a lot more. I was disappointed the goal got chalked off, I thought that was a little bit harsh," Hodgson told Sky Sports. We hope to see more of these as the qualifiers continue over the international break.
